Homemade Liver Cat Meal

(Chicken Liver & Veggie Mix)

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup chicken livers (fresh or frozen, trimmed)
  • ½ cup cooked pumpkin or sweet potato (plain, mashed)
  • 1 egg (scrambled or boiled)
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil or fish oil
  • ¼ teaspoon calcium supplement (crushed eggshell or vet-recommended supplement)
  • Optional: A pinch of turmeric or parsley

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Liver:
    • Gently sauté or boil chicken livers until fully cooked (no pink inside).
    • Let cool slightly, then chop or blend into small pieces.
  2. Mix the Meal:
    • In a bowl, combine liver, pumpkin, egg, and oil.
    • Add calcium and optional herbs. Mix well.
  3. Serve Cool:
    • Ensure the meal is at room temperature before feeding.
    • Serve ~¼ to ½ cup per meal depending on cat size and weight.

Why It’s Good:

  • Liver is high in protein, iron, and B vitamins.
  • Pumpkin aids digestion.
  • Egg and oil add healthy fats and omegas.

⚠️ Limit liver to no more than 5–10% of total weekly diet to avoid vitamin A toxicity.
