🐶 Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups brown rice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 pounds ground chicken (or turkey)
  • 3 cups spinach, chopped
  • 2 carrots, shredded
  • 1 zucchini, shredded
  • ½ cup peas (frozen or fresh)
  • 1 apple, cored and chopped (no seeds)
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon turmeric or parsley (for digestion and immune support)

🍳 Instructions:

  1. Cook the Rice:
    • In a large pot, cook brown rice according to package instructions (usually about 3 cups of water for 1½ cups rice). Set aside when done.
  2. Cook the Meat:
    • In a large skillet or pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.

  3. Add Veggies and Fruit:
    • Stir in spinach, carrots, zucchini, peas, and chopped apple.
    • Cook for about 5–7 minutes until the vegetables are soft.
  4. Combine Everything:
    • Add the cooked rice to the meat and veggie mixture.
    • Mix thoroughly and let it cool completely before serving.

🧊 Storage:

  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • For longer storage, freeze in individual portions and thaw as needed.

Nutritional Notes:

  • This recipe provides lean protein, fiber, and vitamins from whole ingredients.
  • Avoid adding onions, garlic, excessive salt, or seasoning—these can be toxic to dogs.
  • Always introduce new foods gradually and consult your vet, especially if your dog has food sensitivities or health issues.
